New Bins to Reduce Litter

Caldicot Town Team will this week be installing 6 new cigarette bins throughout the town centre, in a bid to reduce litter in the town centre.

Caldicot Town Team have purchased 6 new cigarette bins, which will be installed in the town centre to reduce the amount of litter in the town centre.

The new bins, which will be installed on the brick pillars in the town centre also have an advertising section, which the team will use to promote events and important meetings. 

This is part of a wider project to improve the town centre environment, a 2 month trial of Chewing gum bins will also take place shortly, this is hopefully being funded by a grant from Severnside Area Committee. A new project looking at planters and hanging baskets in the town centre will also improve the appearance. 

As part of our Urban Design Project, we will be looking at all street furniture, including lighting, seating, planters, lampposts and bollards. Our next urban design meeting takes place in early February.
