Celebrate St David’s Day With Caldicot Town Team

To celebrate St David’s Day in March, Caldicot Town Team will be holding a special Welsh Market, with traders from across the country, selling a wide selection of homemade products, welsh produced products and goods. The Welsh Market takes place on Saturday 26th February in Caldicot Town Centre and will run from 9am until 3pm. Support and Funding for Businesses affected by 2021/2022 Restrictions

The Welsh government have released up to £120 Million Pounds to help support business who have been affected by recent restrictions. The Economic Resilience Fund (ERF) open on Monday January 17th for 2 weeks. Businesses must apply again n order to receive funding. Under the latest package, retail, hospitality, leisure and tourism businesses that pay Non-Domestic Rates will be entitled to a payment of £2,000, £4,000 or £6,000 depending on their rateable value. A planning application has been received by Monmouthshire County Council with an intention to reduce space within a retail premise, and add an additional 2 flats to the rear of the property in the town centre. Consultation launched to establish public access routes near Severnside rifle range

Monmouthshire County Council has responded to public debate about access to the footpath that runs alongside Severside rifle range and has launched a consultation to gather information about any unrecorded paths at the site and the immediate area. Early in summer 2020, the occupiers of the Severnside Rifle Range, Caldicot, erected barriers across the crest of the flood defence wall. A public footpath runs through the range, close to the flood defence wall but it is impassable and potentially dangerous having been rendered unavailable by historic engineering works.  As such,…
