Can tickets be refunded or transferred?

Tickets for the 999 Emergency Services Day are non-refundable. As a not-for-profit organisation, ticket income goes directly towards the costs of organising and delivering the event, many of which are committed and paid for in advance. Because of this, unfortunately we aren’t able to offer refunds if you can no longer attend.

However, tickets are transferable, so if you’re unable to make it, you’re more than welcome to pass your tickets on to friends or family to use instead.

Which emergency services will be Attending?

We have a wide selection of Emergency Services attending, however it is important to note that this can change at short notice due to call-outs and incidents locally. Caldicot Town Team is unable to guarantee that all those advertised will be attendance throughout or on the day.

Attending Emergency Services Include:

South Wales Fire & Rescue, Gwent Police, Serco, Mountain Rescue, 4 X 4 Rescue, Lanes Recovery, The AA, SARA, Coastguard, Air Cadets and many more.

Weather Conditions

With the hot weather Wales has experienced recently it is important that those attending are well hydrated, use sunscreen, wear caps or hats where possible and ensure they look after themselves. The event field is not a shaded area and could get very warm so we do advise everyone to be safe.

We would recommend making use of tree shade where possible throughout the day.

Should we get rain, dependent on the severity and the risks, the event may be closed to the public, although we are pleased to note that this hasn’t happened in the lifetime of the event.

Noise concerns

Due to the nature of event, it can sometimes get quite noisy on the main event field. This could be from Emergency Services Sirens, Displays or from rides or attractions.

We do ask that those sensitive to noise are aware of this and take precautions where needed, such as using noise cancelling headphones, temporarily leaving the site to a quieter area of the Country Park or any other measures that may normally be considered

Overall noise levels are monitored throughout the day to ensure there is no risk to the public or those in attendance.

What should i do if i lose a child or a vulnerable person?

Firstly, try and stay calm,

Find any member of the team in a high vis jacket, or speak directly to a police or fire officer, as they have direct radio contact with the event safety team.

Give as much descriptive information that you can about the missing person, name, what they are wearing, any distinctive features.

Our event safety team and lost person manager will come and find you and take you to our lost child/person tent.

The rest of the events team will be alerted and will do their very best to locate the missing child or person and will be in constant contact with you throughout until safely reunited.

Can i take photos or videos of the event?

Absolutely! Please do take photos and videos, be respectful of those who are working at the event and the wider public as some people may not which to be photographed.

Please do share any pictures or videos from the day on social media, you can use the hashtag #999day and #caldicot999 and tag Caldicot Town Team in any posts.
