Further Delays for Caldicot Cross

The final stage of the regeneration of Caldicot across area has been hit with delays, again. The issue is being caused by a culvert found running directly in front and under the front windows of shop premises and is leading to further delays in reopening of Chepstow Road. Georgie Davies, Public Liaison Officer for Alun Griffiths released this statement on Friday; “Unfortunately, due to unexpected issues with an existing culvert, Chepstow Road will remain closed to vehicular traffic until these works are complete. Improvements to Church Road, Caldicot

As part of the wider plans to regenerate Caldicot town centre, Monmouthshire County Council along with stakeholders including Caldicot Town Council and Caldicot Town Team have been working on plans to improve the links, especially between Caldicot Castle and the town centre. proposals have now been put forward to look at strengthening these links and improving traffic flow around the town, click here to read more and view the proposals.
