Consultation launched to establish public access routes near Severnside rifle range

Monmouthshire County Council has responded to public debate about access to the footpath that runs alongside Severside rifle range and has launched a consultation to gather information about any unrecorded paths at the site and the immediate area. Early in summer 2020, the occupiers of the Severnside Rifle Range, Caldicot, erected barriers across the crest of the flood defence wall. Further funding announced for town centre business owners

Monmouthshire County Council has secured funding to support the continued recovery of our town centres following the pandemic. Town Centre business owners in Abergavenny, Caldicot, Chepstow, Monmouth and Usk are being invited to apply for funding  to create external trading spaces.

Temporary Road Closure for Newport Road as part of Active Travel Scheme

From Monday 11th October 2021 for a period of 3 weeks, a temporary road closure will be enforced along a section of Newport Road, Caldicot. The proposal for this is in line with Active Travel Proposals and improvements set by Welsh Government.

Official Opening of TogetherWORKS Caldicot

After many months of hard work by staff and volunteers, Caldicot’s TogetherWORKS community space celebrated its official opening on Wednesday 8thSeptember. TogetherWORKS, which was named following a poll completed by local residents, is now open Monday to Thursday, 9am to 5pm, and Fridays from 9am to 4.30pm.   Residents of Caldicot gathered along Woodstock Way to celebrate the event, joined by organisations including MHA, Dad’sCan Cymru , GAVO, Timebanking UK, Woman’s Aid, Benthyg Cymru, Bridges, RSPCA Cymru, U3A Craft Group, The Lions, Mind Monmouthshire, Communities for Work +, and Caldicot Town Team.
