Affordable Trading Opportunities This Winter in CORE Caldicot
CORE Caldicot is thrilled to announce that new trading pitches are now available, offering local entrepreneurs and small businesses a unique opportunity to showcase your products right in the heart of the community.
With flexible hire options starting from just £20 per week, traders can now establish a presence inside this dynamic community hub without the burden of high overhead costs.
CORE Caldicot is more than just a shop—it’s a vibrant space that includes a market for independent traders, a family-friendly soft play area, café, games room, and even an indoor skate ramp. This lively atmosphere draws visitors of all ages, making it an ideal location to promote your products to a broad audience.
CORE Caldicot offers;
- Prime Town Centre Retail space for independent retailers with space starting at £20 per week.
- Warm Space/Café area offering free, make yourself hot drinks, with seating, sofas and tables, the warm space/café is run on donations, with users encouraged to donate in the donation pots around the café to help fund its running costs.
- Craft Space/Classes – Due to the size of the unit, and its central location, CORE is also able to offer Craft Spaces and run classes in store, such as Summer Holiday Sessions, Halloween Craft Sessions and Adult Craft Classes. These are run by volunteers, who have all been DBS (disclosure and barring service) checked and are team members of Caldicot Town Team.
- The Hive – A space for predominately young people to come and use facilities such as our dart boards, table tennis, air hockey and pool tables, we also provide other table games such as Jenga and packs of playing cards. Members pay £3 per session, which is currently 2 hours on a Tuesday and Wednesday evening.
- The Hive Skate ramp – A large 10-meter wide, wooden skate ramp with 4ft and 6ft drop-ins, used as part of the package for The Hive, giving young people the chance to practice, exercise and build skills in an indoor environment.
- Uniform Shop – CORE has dedicated space to sell used (and sometimes new) uniform, which is sold at £1 & £2 and covers any uniforms from the local schools in the area.
- Fuel Bank Foundation – CORE is part of the Fuel Bank Foundation, which offers immediate support to those who are in a fuel crisis and on pre-payment meters, the value varies monthly but aims to cover 10 days’ worth of electricity or gas for those in crisis.
- Caldikidz Community – Baby Bank, our resident trader, who has been with us since 2022 operates a baby bank in store, providing support for new parents and those in need, this can vary from immediate items such and milk and nappies to whole packs including new cots, prams, mattresses, bedding, clothing and more. Caldikidz Community Baby Bank works independently and with local authorities and social services, providing support where needed.
- Hotdesking – CORE also offers a working space for those who may need to hot-desk or for flexible working. This is charged per day and is the newest project that CORE is undertaking within the shop space.
