UK Independents Day

Tomorrow (Thursday 4th July) marks the UK Independents Day and Caldicot Town Team are proud to support local businesses in our community.

Independents’ Day UK is a not-for-profit campaign that exists to support and promote independent retail businesses across the UK all year round, but with an annual focus on July 4th: ‘Independents’ Day’ itself. Independents account for something in the order of 65% of the approximately 290,000 retail outlets in the UK and are at the heart of local communities throughout the country.

If each of the UK’s 52 million adults spent £5 at an independent retailer on Independent’s Day – this would generate £260 million of revenue for the sector in one day alone – so we are calling on shoppers to do just that on Thursday 4 July.

As a shopper Independents’ Day UK is your chance to show some love for the independent retailers you value most both in your local communities and online: the ones you wouldn’t want to live without.
