A new fund will allow existing businesses to make significant improvements to their shop frontages in conjunction with the Welsh Government.
The new grant fund called The Urban Centre Property Enhancement Fund (UCPEF) will allow businesses in the town centre take advantage of the a grant fund available by Welsh Government based on a 70% grant which can include new windows, doors, signage and more.
Part of a wider project by Monmouthshire County Council, this element will improve the look and feel of businesses in the area, and improve the overall look of the town.
The Caldicot Town Centre Regeneration Project is funded by Monmouthshire County Council and Welsh Government who have allocated £44 million across South East Wales through its Targeted Regeneration Investment programme (TRI). This programme aims to support economic regeneration whilst supporting wider sustainable development. Caldicot Town was chosen as Monmouthshire’s Principal Economic Regeneration Scheme and included in the County Council’s submission which formed part of the Cardiff Capital Region (CCR) Regeneration Plan.
