New Book Launch & Signing At Readers Den in Core Caldicot
Local writer and artist John Smithells has had his unique book published about the wonder of knowing ourselves, after 20 years of planning.
Caldicot and formerly Woolaston resident John Smithells (writing as Tracy deMercleden) has had his (x6) books The Miriyama published with The Conrad Press.
The Miriyama is the remarkable story of Miriam, who was Yeheshua’s (Jesus) companion, wife and lover. Yet left out of history. Fiction? Not entirely…
This fascinating and enthralling story is a multiple life adventure that contains fact, detective-speculation and a sprinkling of fantasy.
The author explains, “Finding Miriam has been an important journey of discovery for myself. I feel the book is ready to be released now, in these times we have hit head on, are ploughing through. It is clear and obvious how all women now have such a tremendous and vital part to play in helping humanity make the right choices, find our way home, to peace, to our true selves.
(And we need something a bit different than all that we are fed by the ‘greed machine’ to help make those choices).”
Overcoming trials and tribulations are necessities in The Miriyama, and enduring romances will and do occur, very notably between Miriam and the master Yeheshua, and also between Mary Magdalene and the Apostle Thomas. Reading is not believing, but enjoying the very probable possibility.
The author adds, “My hope and belief is that people will find all sorts in the book to both enjoy and maybe inspire them, depending exactly on what they bring with them.”
