New Book Launch & Signing At Readers Den in Core Caldicot

Local writer and artist John Smithells has had his unique book published about the wonder of knowing ourselves, after 20 years of planning.

Caldicot and formerly Woolaston resident John Smithells (writing as Tracy deMercleden) has had his (x6) books The Miriyama published with The Conrad Press.

The Miriyama is the remarkable story of Miriam, who was Yeheshua’s (Jesus) companion, wife and lover. Yet left out of history. Fiction? Not entirely…

This fascinating and enthralling story is a multiple life adventure that contains fact, detective-speculation and a sprinkling of fantasy.

The author explains, “Finding Miriam has been an important journey of discovery for myself. I feel the book is ready to be released now, in these times we have hit head on, are ploughing through. It is clear and obvious how all women now have such a tremendous and vital part to play in helping humanity make the right choices, find our way home, to peace, to our true selves.

(And we need something a bit different than all that we are fed by the ‘greed machine’ to help make those choices).”

Overcoming trials and tribulations are necessities in The Miriyama, and enduring romances will and do occur, very notably between Miriam and the master Yeheshua, and also between Mary Magdalene and the Apostle Thomas. Reading is not believing, but enjoying the very probable possibility.

The author adds, “My hope and belief is that people will find all sorts in the book to both enjoy and maybe inspire them, depending exactly on what they bring with them.”

What’s next for the author…

Tracy is planning six more follow up books of the Miriyama, and for the Scottish amongst us ‘Celestia – A Royal Highlander Romance’ is in the making.

About the book

Mary Magdalene narrates this, telling how she came to her Master and then meets Miriam. Both of them are difficult for male disciples to accept, in different ways. Magdalene as an equal to ‘them’. Miriam being so close to the Master. It tells how they worked together and with Jesus’s mother Mary. To love the Divine, share the joy, and help others accept too; the ultimate gift and adventure of being alive. In the very teeth of Darkness and ignorance.

About the author
