Refurbished, Rebranded & Refreshed, Introducing CORE
Back in 2021 Caldicot Town Team were running its popular pop up shop within Caldicot Town Centre. At the end of 2021 the term sadly came to an end meaning the team had to move out after 7 successful months of trading. The great news, The shop is returning to Caldicot Town Centre very soon.
We would like to introduce you to CORE, Caldicot Goes Pop! new name for 2022 and will reopen its doors on Saturday 26th February 2022 in 19 Newport Road Caldicot (the old Penny Barton Opticians)
Caldicot Town Team have been lucky enough to be successful for a grant as part of Welsh Governments Transforming Towns Program to refurbish the unit to improve the customer experience and provide new opportunities for the local area.
Core will feature a much larger retail space with the removal of the rear office, making the whole ground floor area much lighter, more modern with a new paint scheme and new fixtures and fittings. Core will still be renting out shelving units to local independent traders and home run businesses for just £10 a week.
- C: Community – Helping to make Caldicot a better place to work, live and play.
- O: Organisation – Helping and working with different organisations in a wide range of projects.
- R: Retail – Providing retail space within Caldicot Town Centre at a cost effective rate.
- E: Events – Running and organising local events and markets for the benefit of everyone.
Our permanent trader Caldikidz will be back and running the whole pop up shop for us and will continue to sell products and clothing from birth to toddler.
If you did not pop in during 2021 it is well worth a visit for the newest family members, with lots of unique and personalised items you certainly would not find in Asda or on Amazon.
Caldikidz is excited by the opportunity Core brings to the Town Centre. The 7 months we traded in 2021 identified more areas for us to focus on the products and items customers look to purchase. We cannot wait to welcome everyone back on Saturday 26th Feb.

Core will be open Monday – Friday 9am – 3pm and Saturdays 9:30am – 1pm. You can find Core at 19 Newport Road (next door to Richeld’s Pharmacy)
