Local Trader Wins Prestigious Award

Local business owner Tracey Clements from Wye Valley Studios has won a prestigious Award of Excellence for her photography of ‘Betsy’ the Boxer in the Master Photographers Association National and International Awards. 

 

Her photograph of ‘Betsy’, a Boxer dog, owned by Samantha Davies from Caldicot, was Awarded an Award of Excellence and got through to the shortlist for the whole of the UK and Ireland.

She picked up her award at a glittering awards ceremony in Hinckley in Leicestershire which was attended by photographers from all over the world.

Wye Valley Studios was founded in 1956 and is still a family run business today, the shop and studios are located in the hear of Caldicot town centre and boast an award winning studio along with a superb selection of jewellery and ornaments in the adjoining shop unit.

Tracey has been at Wye Valley Studios for over thirty five years and in that time has achieved distinctions in her photography with many top national and regional awards. She has lectured throughout the UK on pet photography and has been the UK Pet Photographer of the Year twice and the Welsh MPA Pet Photographer of the Year several times, as well as a Kodak European Gold Award and many Awards of Excellence and merits. Tracey has also won many awards for Wedding and Studio Photography and excels in her Cherubs’ Baby Photography which she has also been highly commended for.
