Join Us for the Launch of CORE Caldicot Repair Café!

We’re excited to announce the official launch of the CORE Repair Café, opening on Wednesday, March 12th, at CORE Caldicot! Running weekly, this initiative is all about repairing, reusing, and reducing waste while bringing the community together. Bin It, No Way!

Every week, our dedicated team of volunteers will be on hand to help with repairs, offering their expertise to give broken items a second life. Whether you have something small that needs fixing or you’re keen to learn how to repair things yourself, the CORE Repair Café is here to help.

What Can You Bring for Repair? We can assist with a range of household repairs, including:

• Electrical Repairs: Small household appliances, basic wiring fixes, and troubleshooting.
• Clothing Repairs: Fixing zips, mending tears, hemming, and alterations.
• General Fixes: Furniture repairs, minor mechanical fixes, and other small household repairs where possible.

Do-It-Yourself Repairs Want to learn how to fix things yourself? At the CORE Repair Café, you can take charge of your own repairs with guidance from experienced volunteers. We provide the tools and equipment you need to complete your repairs in-store, empowering you to gain hands-on experience and confidence in fixing everyday items.

We Need Volunteers! To make this project a long-term success, we’re looking for individuals with repair skills who can volunteer their time.
