Got Bottle? We need it!
Caldicot Town Team is dedicated to making a positive impact on our local community. Our latest initiative focuses on increasing the amount of plastics recycled locally, with the ultimate goal of reducing carbon emissions and supporting our local economy.
By encouraging and educating our residents about the importance of recycling plastics, we hope to create a more sustainable future for Caldicot. Through this project, we aim to raise awareness about the detrimental effects of plastic waste on our environment and inspire individuals to take action.

We require community participation in collecting, donating, dropping off, and sorting HDPE plastics. We are also planning on working with local businesses who generate plastic waste to allow us to reduce, recycle and make new products.
New products can be made here instore, with brand new equipment Caldicot Town Team has been able to secure with other local partners including Monmouthshire County Council. Here at CORE, we can sort, granulate, collate and create an infinite number of products that could then be resold to allow us to generate an income for our local economy.
Not only is Caldicot Town Team able to generate income through various channels, but also by collaborating with local primary and secondary schools, community groups, organizations, and even businesses. This collaborative effort allows for the creation and marketing of unique products that can be sold, resulting in an income stream, which allows everyone who participates the chance to make vital income for their chosen groups.
But we can’t achieve this ambitious goal without the support and participation of our wonderful community. Every small step towards reducing plastic waste counts, whether it’s separating recyclables properly or choosing reusable alternatives. Your involvement is crucial in creating a cleaner, greener Caldicot.
So, What do we need to get started?
