Family Fun Day – Step Back, Leap Forward

Caldicot Town Centre will be stepping back in time… and leaping into the future on Friday 24th July from 10am – 2pm for this years Annual Family Fun Day, Steampunk Style!

This summer, Caldicot Town Team’s annual Family Fun Day returns with a brand new theme – Steampunk – bringing a day of colour, creativity, entertainment and family fun right into the heart of the town centre.

So, what is Steampunk? Think Victorian style mixed with imaginative inventions, brass gadgets, top hats, goggles, gears, airships and a sense of adventure. It’s a world where history meets fantasy, where creativity rules, and where anything feels possible. It’s bold, quirky, fun and perfect for all ages.

For one day only, Caldicot Town Centre will be transformed into a place of wonder, packed with exciting things to see and do. Visitors can expect roaming characters, striking costumes, live music, interactive entertainment, games, performances and hands-on activities throughout the day.

Visit us on Friday 24th July between 10am and 2pm, with free parking and free event entry.

We’re already planning favourites such as Tea Duelling, Teapot Racing and a spectacular walking parade from Caldicot Castle into the town centre, bringing the spirit of Steampunk to the streets of Caldicot.

Whether you come dressed in full Steampunk style or simply come along to enjoy the atmosphere, everyone is welcome. Families can enjoy a free day out together, children can discover something completely different, and visitors can experience our town centre in a whole new way.

As always, the event is designed to celebrate Caldicot, support our local businesses, and bring the community together for a fun-filled summer day.

We’re also looking for performers, entertainers, musicians, activity providers and creative traders who would like to be part of the event. If you can bring something unique, fun or theatrical to the day, we’d love to hear from you.
