Caldicot Town Team Partners with Cefndy Medequip to Become a Drop-Off Point

Caldicot Town Team is proud to announce an exciting new partnership with Cefndy Medequip, making CORE Caldicot an official drop-off point for returned community medical equipment. This initiative aims to make it easier for residents to return items they no longer need, ensuring vital equipment can be reused and redistributed to those who need it most.

Cefndy Medequip provides a range of essential mobility and independent living aids to individuals across Monmouthshire. Often, these items—such as walking aids, crutches, and wheelchairs—are no longer required but remain in good condition. By returning them, we can reduce waste, lower costs for healthcare services, and ensure others benefit from much-needed support.

How It Works

Bringing back your no-longer-needed equipment is simple:

  1. Check to see if your medical equipment (usually given out by Hospitals or Care Services) has a Cefndy Medequip Label (see picture below)
  2. Drop off your items at CORE Caldicot during our opening hours.
  3. We will store the equipment before it is collected by Cefndy Medequip for inspection and redistribution.
  4. Your donation of unused and unwanted medical equipment helps improve sustainability, reduces costs for the NHS and ensures support for individuals in need.

This partnership strengthens our commitment to sustainability and community support, aligning with our ongoing efforts to make Caldicot a thriving, inclusive place for all. Whether you’ve borrowed equipment for a temporary injury or no longer need a long-term aid, returning it is now easier than ever.

Visit us at CORE Caldicot to drop off your items, and let’s work together to create a more accessible and environmentally friendly community!
