Caldicot Carnival 2016 – Photos
Caldicot Events Committee and Caldicot Town Team were thrilled with the turn out at this year’s Carnival.
The event which took place on Sunday 26th June was held at Caldicot Castle, with a procession leaving from King George V playing fields. hundreds lined the street to greet the procession as it took its route along jubilee way, chepstow road and church road. Around 2,000 people attended the Carnival, which was a great success and built on last year’s carnival.
Taking part in the procession was Sudbrook Girls Football club (Minions Theme) Chepstow & Caldicot Round Table (Santa) Caldicot 2nd Scouts (Jungle Book) Caldicot Recovery (Vehicles) Caroline Graham’s School of Dance, Caldi Castle Hire (Disney Characters) Wye Gymnastics, Galaxy Cheer, Bargain Booze (Animals) Caldicot Musical Theatre Society and Powerhouse Dance. Ben Baker and Bad Reputation also played on the stage over the course of the afternoon.
Carnival King was Rhys Martin from Ysgol Y Ffin School
Carnival Queen was Lauren Wallace from Durand School
The winner of the main raffle prize was Pauline Hayward, who has receive hospitality tickets to see Status Quo in August.
