Caldicot Carnival 2016 – Parade Participants

For all vehicles taking part in the parade please

• Do not enter King George V Playing Field car park under any circumstances
• Park with your vehicle on Newport Road – Facing the town centre, before the entrance to King George V Playing Fields (Marshals will be in attendance)
• Ensure you are all in place by 11:45 at the latest, to listen to safety warnings and important procession information.
• Make sure that if anyone walking beside your vehicle is fully briefed of the route and the turning circles needed for your vehicle.
• Be aware that when you arrive at the main event field at the castle you must continue travelling along the roadway and not enter the field.
• Note that parking for vehicles will be at the car park adjacent to the toilets/play area for all parade vehicles.

For all walking parties please

• Be aware that NO vehicles are permitted inside King George Playing Field car park, please drop off using the layby at the entrance.
• Ensure your group stays together within the park and is ready by 11:45 to listen to marshals requests and be put into position.
• Try to make sure that children are walking on the nearside, where possible to ensure safety (Full road closures are in place throughout the route)
• Report any accidents/injuries to St Johns Ambulance, located in King George V playing fields and Caldicot Castle.

Most of all, have fun, make plenty of noise, take lots of photos and enjoy yourself!
