Caldicot Town Team is excited to host a community Book Fair at CORE Caldicot on Saturday 17 January 2026, running from 10am to 2pm. This event is all about celebrating stories, sharing favourites, and giving great books a second life.
Donate Your Books and Help Them Find New Readers
We’re inviting the community to donate preloved or new books of any genre. Donations can be dropped off at CORE Caldicot any time before 16 January. This gives our volunteers time to sort everything into genres, so visitors can browse easily and find exactly what they love.
Passing books on instead of throwing them out keeps them in circulation, cuts waste, and makes reading accessible for everyone. A book that’s been sitting untouched on a shelf can become someone else’s new favourite read. It’s a small, sustainable action that makes a big difference in a community space like ours.
What Books Are We Accepting?
Pretty much everything, as long as it’s in good, clean condition. We’re especially happy to receive:
- Fiction

- Crime
- Romance
- Fantasy
- Sci-fi
- Young Adult
- Children’s

- Biographies
Affordable Books for Everyone
At the Book Fair, titles will be priced from just £1 each, making it an affordable way to discover something new while supporting local community activity.
