999 Emergency Services Day 2025 FAQ’s
Caldicot Town Team’s 999 EmergencyServices day is fast approaching. Taking place on Sunday 15th June 2025 at Caldicot Castle & Country Park. Here you can find out all the information needed to have an enjoyable day, meeting all members from the Emergency Services Including Police, Fire, Ambulance, Mountain Rescue, Blood Bikes and many more.

You can prebook tickets here, or pay on the day at entry to the venue.
Opening Times
The 999 Emergency Services Day opens at 10am and will close around 4pm on Sunday 15th June 2025.
Directions
Travelling by Car?
From Bristol – Take the Old Severn Bridge and exit at J2 Chepstow, follow the A466 to Larkfield Roundabout. First exit towards Caldicot. Take the 1st Exit at Parkway roundabout (Indian Empire Restaurant) onto the B4245. Follow road into Caldicot. At Castlegate roundabout take second exit onto B4245. First exit towards Caldicot Town Centre. At Caldicot Cross (The Cross Inn Pub) take a right onto Church Road, signposted Caldicot Castle, Caldicot Castle will be on your right hand side immediately after passing The Castle Inn Pub.
From Newport – Take J23 Magor towards Caldicot onto the B4245. Follow to Caldicot, once past Co-Op at Traffic Lights turn left, (signposted Caldicot Town Centre) At mini roundabout take the 2nd exit towards The Cross Inn Pub, Turn left onto Church Road signposted Caldicot Castle, Caldicot Castle will be on your right hand side immediately after passing The Castle Inn Pub.
Travelling By Bus?
Alight at Caldicot Cross and walk down Church Road approximately 400 meters towards The Cross Inn Pub, Caldicot Castle Entrance will be on your right hand side.
Can I bring Dogs?
Dogs are permitted in Caldicot Castle & Country Park on Leads, however due to the nature of the event it is very noisy with Emergency Services Sirens used throughout the day. Please be respectful and pick up after your dog and ensure they are on a lead at all times.
Can I bring a picnic?
Absolutely, you’re more than welcome to bring along picnic food if you wish. Seating is provided within the walls of Caldicot Castle, which is a beautiful setting for a family picnic. We do ask that you do not bring alcohol into the site however and may be removed by our volunteers or marshals around the site.
Can I get photos with the Emergency Services?
We love seeing all your pictures, videos, tiktoks and lives from the event. Tag us in using #999day and #999caldicot We do ask that you are respectful though and treat everyone with respect, not everyone wants to be filmed or photographed.
Prohibited Items
- Knives
- Guns
- Illicit Drugs of any kind
- Gas canisters
- Fireworks
- Aerosols
- Glass containers
- Drones
All of the above items are prohibited from the site, and will be removed if found by marshals and stewards. This is a family event and as such we expect to act with decency and be respectful of families and children. This list is not exhaustive and anyone found to be causing any issues deemed inappropriate or a security risk will be removed and banned from entering the site.
Is there a cash point (ATM) on site?
There is not, however Caldicot Town Team do offer a cash back service at the main gates. There is a £1 fee for this. Most of our vendors do accept card payments as well. The nearest Free Cashpoint is Asda Supermarket in Caldicot Town Centre.
Are there toilets on site?
Yes, we provide a number of toilets on the main field along with toilets inside Caldicot Castle. Disabled and Baby Change facilities are also available on site.
Information for Disabled Visitors
The 999 Emergency Services day is held in a country park so while the venue is relatively flat and accessible there is some rough ground and the main event is held on a field.
There is some disabled parking available, however this is on a first come first served basis, once full disabled visitors will have to park in the main car park. Our marshals will always try to park you close enough to the entrance for accessibility.
Disabled toilets can be found inside Caldicot Castle and on the main event field.
There is no discounts or concessions for disabled persons for entry to the 999 Emergency Services Day.
Can I Visit Caldicot Castle?
Absolutely, we would love you to visit the castle itself, there are many rooms to explore and is a beautiful castle. The surrounding country park is fully open to all visitors, including those not attending the event itself. we do ask that you be aware that will be a very busy day with lots of moving vehicles and pedestrians.
