11-Year-Old Entrepreneur Brings 3D Printing Magic to CORE Caldicot

From Pocket Money Idea to Entrepreneurial Success: Meet Nathan, CORE Caldicot’s Youngest Trader

When you walk into CORE Caldicot this month, you might notice something a little different. Among the traders, tucked between established small businesses, is Nathan – just 11 years old – who is already making waves with his creativity, generosity, and business sense.

Nathan began his 3D printing journey in December 2024 after spotting a gap in the market at a school fair. He noticed that many of the toys and fidgets on sale were overpriced, flimsy, and broke almost immediately. Instead of shrugging it off, Nathan thought: why not do better? With that spark of inspiration, his business was born – making durable, affordable products designed with children’s “pocket money” in mind.

What makes Nathan stand out isn’t just his age, but his approach. He encourages recycling by offering to take back broken or unwanted 3D printed items to reuse the materials. He’s also constantly innovating, recently creating modular fidgets and pencil toppers that come with interchangeable heads, legs, hats, and more – giving every customer the chance to personalise their toy in a way that feels truly unique.

But perhaps most remarkable of all is his generosity. Since starting his venture less than a year ago, Nathan has already donated over £600 to local charities and hospitals near his hometown of Bristol. For him, business isn’t just about earning pocket money – it’s about making a positive difference.
