Welcome to a New Way of Retail in Caldicot!

CORE is an exciting new not-for-profit unit based in Caldicot town centre, run by the dedicated volunteers of Caldicot Town Team. We offer a unique mix of temporary and permanent retailers alongside a growing community hub, which includes a free indoor soft play area, The Hive – a dynamic recreational space with a skate ramp, table tennis, pool tables, and darts, and a welcoming café space.

CORE provides a fantastic opportunity for both new and existing businesses to expand and grow. Our low-cost rental spaces offer an affordable way to establish a presence in the town while benefiting from exposure to Caldicot Town Team’s thousands of social media followers.

More Than Just Retail

CORE is a versatile space that has hosted an array of events and community projects. From transforming the venue into a dinosaur museum to welcoming young people eager to learn DJing and music mixing, our space is ever-evolving to meet the needs of the community. We also house a Preloved Uniform Shop, providing affordable school uniforms to families in need.

The Warm Space Café

Our Warm Space Café area is open during normal shop hours and is available to everyone—no questions asked. Whether you need a hot or cold drink, a place to relax, or a welcoming environment, our café is here for you. Donations are discretionary, and the space is especially popular with parents while their little ones enjoy the soft play area.

Community, Creativity & Connection

At CORE, we love to embrace the seasons and special occasions, frequently decorating the space to create a vibrant atmosphere. We also run regular craft days and adult craft classes, which are a highlight in the town centre, bringing together dozens of visitors for interactive, hands-on fun. Additionally, our Puzzle COREner provides an extensive selection of puzzles that members can borrow, complete at home, and exchange for new challenges.
