Updated Plans For Regeneration Of Caldicot Town Centre
Back in 2013 Monmouthshire County Council committed to a project to invest and regeneration Caldicot, put forward by Caldicot Town Team. Now, Initial artistic impressions of how Caldicot Town Centre would look after regeneration plans have been published by the designers Roberts Limbrick. We do into more depth regarding the plans and give the option for you to express your views and concerns on the proposed plans.
Caldicot Town Team are extremely pleased that an idea to regenerate the town centre back at the end of 2013 has already turned into making substantial investment from both Monmouthshire County Council and The Welsh Government. With the works at The Cross now completed and work already under way improving the links from Caldicot Castle, the project now moves onto its next phase of the regeneration focussing on the town centre.
We have pulled important details from the plans that have been proposed to point out, but it is very important for us to inform you of a live Webinar taking place on Thursday 6th March at 6pm. You will need to register beforehand, but can do so by clicking this link Register For Live Webinar
It has always been our view that the plans for the town centre should be widely discussed with the public and views should be fully taken into consideration when making plans to ensure that the money spent is a worthwhile investment and relevant to the needs of the user. This is something that we have pushed for and promoted with Public Consultations, Surveys and Meetings throughout the process, since we began this ambitious project back in 2013 with Monmouthshire County Council.

This provides a much more open space, with the area decluttered, the “central belt” and more planting of trees, plant columns and new paving which flows and matches right up to shop fronts.
