Rates Increase Hits Monmouthshire Businesses

You may have seen in the local press recently about the rates increase due by the valuation office agency in 2017, this seems to be hitting all types of businesses, with catering and hospitality being hit the hardest.

Caldicot Town Team are working with Monmouthshire County Council, and other Chamber of Trades in the area to work towards a solution and to find out how we can help businesses,

Assembly Member, Nick Ramsay, has called a public meeting on the above time and date to discuss the recent business rates revaluation and to determine what can be done to help protect small businesses.

The meeting takes place at Usk Memorial Hall, Maryport Street, Usk, NP15 1LH at 7:30pm

Keep an eye out for updates from us on the rates increases, we will be reporting back by the end of the week, with hopefully some solutions to the increase in rates for local businesses.
