Aldi Foodstores, who are taking over the current Waitrose premises in Caldicot town centre have applied for planning permission to make changes to the look and feel of the property.
Full planning information can be found on the Monmouthshire Website, link below.
With the news that Aldi is taking over Waitrose in Caldicot, a new planning application has been applied for to change the frontages of the entire unit. The plans look like it will make the current premise in Wesley Buildings look lighter than it does currently, by removing and replacing some of the walls with large windows. This also will refresh and modernise the red brick unit, which will help with the overall aesthetics of Caldicot town centre.
The frontage from Woodstock Way (view from the Caldicot School) will also undergo quite a dramatic change, again, making the unit look much more modern, with large windows and new signage to promote the store.
