With the 999 Emergency Services Event fast approaching and only a week away. We wanted to be able to provide you all the information for you to have an enjoyable day, down with us at Caldicot Castle.

Arriving by car
There is a £5 charge per car, this enables us to be able to provide you with the best experience possible, as costs are incurred in setting up the event. You can book a car parking space here before you arrive, or pay on arrival by cash or by card.
Parking outside Caldicot Castle
We do ask that you do not park in side streets or in residential areas as this can often cause congestion issues and problems with local residents leaving properties.
A free car park is located in Jubilee Way car park, however this is small, and does fill up quickly.
If you have a disabled blue badge, that is valid, you are able to park within Caldicot Castle for free, spaces are very limited and not guaranteed, so it is best to book your slot here before you arrive.
Arriving on foot
There is no charge for entry if you are arriving by foot, we have 2 main entrances, (detailed on the map) You will be greeted by marshals on arrival, we do have donation buckets, if you are able to make a donation that would be amazing as it helps us to recover the costs of the event.
Event Opening & Closing Times
The event site opens at 10am and will be open until 5pm. Caldicot Castle itself will be open between 11am and 4pm.
The vast majority of the Emergency Services crews that are in attendance will be with us throughout the day, however some crews are operational, which means they be have to leave if they are required at an emergency.
Toilets are located throughout the site, including on the main event field, and inside Caldicot Castle.
Food and drink vendors are on site and operating throughout the day on the main event field. You will also be able to purchase light refreshments inside Caldicot Castle.
As the event is located outside, there are no restrictions regarding cigarettes, however we would expect you to be respectful as its a family event and that rubbish is disposed of correctly.
Large bins are located around the site for you to use, please be respectful and courteous and use these for all your waste throughout the day.
On arrival you will be offered wrist bands to place on children’s wrists, please complete these with a contact number and ensure you child wears it during the day. Our lost children point will be well advertised on the main event field. Our volunteers and marshals have radios and are able to look after lost children safely until parents/guardians are found.
The vast majority of covid regulations has now been lifted in respect of outdoor events. Social distancing is not required and masks are not compulsory. however, the displays around the site may well be following their own set of regulations and we ask that you follow these wherever possible. Hand sanitiser is located around the site and is encouraged to be used regularly.
The team may well be taking photographs throughout the day of families and people enjoying themselves for the use on our website and social media, should for any reason you wish for us not to use any, please let any team member know and we will be happy to oblige.
