Rusty Shackle Homecoming Gig

Rusty Shackle will be playing their homecoming gig this year at Hoggin The Bridge at the David Broome Event Centre on Saturday 29th September.

Tickets are now available to buy for this great event, all in aid of charity.

Hoggin The Bridge is an annual ride which takes place from Aust services, across the Severn Bridge and then through local villages and finishing up in the grounds of The David Broome Event Centre.

In 2017 a record breaking 6,800 Motorbikes took part in the charity ride, which raised money for Meningitis UK and other local charities. Over £13,500 was donated to 24 charities, 20 of those were based within a 5 mile radius of Caldicot

Caldicot Town Team are thrilled to be working with the Hoggin The Bridge Committee who continue to run the event, they are a voluntary community group working to regenerate Caldicot and the wider area. The Hoggin The Bridge committee is also based on volunteers, some of whom who have been a part of the committee for over 10 years. The ethos of the ride is exactly the same as it has always been, to raise money for worthwhile charities in the local area, along with Meningitis UK, whilst enjoying the atmosphere of thousands of fellow bikers.

The event is organised by a group of passionate, committed community members. The overall event is run by over 70 volunteers, who are situated in Caldicot Castle, along the bike route and at Aust services, where the ride starts.

Last year the event moved to the beautiful surroundings of Caldicot Castle, where riders past the Castle itself when finishing the ride, 6,800 bikes entered the grounds for spectators to admire, all who thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Bikers and families from across South Wales and the rest of the UK are expected once again to join us in raising money for local charities as well as Meningitis Now as the event moves into 2018.

The event will boast a full weekend of live music and entertainment, hot food and drink, a licensed bar and traders from across the motorbike industry, along with Children’s rides, Bouncy Castles, Emergency Services and much more making it a special, affordable day out for all the family.

Join us as we celebrate this great event, by enjoying an evening of live entertainment from Rusty Shackle. The Big club will be supporting them. All proceeds raised will be going towards the Hoggin The Bridge charities. Tickets can be purchased from here: Buy your tickets now
